Q. What services are included in the purchase price of the property?
Each lot at Sarilia is serviced with gas, power, telephone and high speed internet.
Q. If I buy now, when do I have to build?
There are no time restrictions as to when a property owner has to build, you can do a "buy and hold". However, once construction begins, property owners must make every effort to complete the exterior of the home within one year.
Q. What RM is Sarilia located in?
Even though Sarilia is only 3 km from the town of Langham, we are located in the RM of Laird. The RM maintains the roads throughout the year.
Q. Can I have a garden?
Yes. Gardens can be located in the private area of the building envelope. In addition Sarilia has a community garden and residents have access to a plot that is 10' x 20'. A larger space may be obtained if needed.
Q. What about garbage?
Just like the services provided in a city or town, garbage pick-up is done once/week. We have rolling bins that are picked up by Loraas Disposal every Wednesday. For items that need to be taken to the dump, we have access to the RM of Laid's dump near Mennon and the Town of Langham has bins for recycling cardboard, paper, tin and glass.

Q. Am I required to use the preferred builders recommended on the Sarilia website? Can I use my own builder or build my own home?
Yes. A number of residents that live as Sarilia have built their own home and used their own preferred homebuilder.
Q. Can I build an RTM?
RTM homes can be moved onto your property providing it meets the architectural design standards. There are a number of RTM homes in our development.
Q. Where would my kids go to school?
School aged children are bussed from their door step at Sarilia to the town of Langham which has two schools: Langham Elementary School (K to 5) and Walter W. Brown High School (6 to 12). The schools part of the Prairie Spirit School Division.
Q. What is the population of Langham? Is there a rink in Langham?
The 2006 census reported a population of 1120, with 452 homes in the community. The positive Saskatchewan economy has resulted in a housing boom that will see up to 300 new homes built and the population to double by 2018. The Town of Langham is a vibrant and growing community with many recreational opportunities. They have both an ice rink and a curling rink. They also have ball diamonds, soccer fields and a golf course located along the river.
Q. Are there any community association fees?
We are happy to report that Sarilia does not charge a community association fee. Recreational areas are maintained by the development at no extra charge to property owners.
